Media Release 28/07/2005

Once a year the stars come out to play, and this year they'll be marooned on a mysterious uncharted island... in Sydney ’s normally land-locked inner west!

Are they alone in a tropical paradise? Or is that the rising sound of tribal drums??

Six teams - made up of special guest celebrities alongside impro-comedy champions - will battle for laughs, survival and a mysterious hidden treasure when the annual hit, Theatresports® Celebrity Challenge returns to the Enmore Theatre on Saturday 13 August!

STARS already confirmed include

Bianca Dye and Simon Kennedy (Nova FM), Adam Spencer (ABC TV and radio presenter), Jay Laga’aia (Star Wars, Lion King, Water Rats), Susie Eleman (GMA, Beauty and the Beast), Tony Eastley (host of ABC Radio “AM”), Trilby Beresford (‘Kathleen Campion’ on All Saints), Sam Atwell (Headlands) Jodie Gordon , Tim Campbell, Dieter Brummer & Josh Lawson (Home & Away), Yvette Duncan (MTV Most Wanted, Stooged) & Angela Bishop (Network Ten).

This year's compere is 5 times Cranston Cup champion and Theatresports® grand master Ewan Campbell (The Footy Show). He'll have the help of smart ‘n’ sassy Monique Dykstra as his timekeeping offsider. Maestro Gep Blake returns as our amazing improvising musician along with lightening-witted ivory-tickler Benny Davis. The teams will face challenges from other celebrities as well as the traditional audience suggestions, testing their wit and their willingness to put everything on the line. It's survival of the funniest!

Celebrity Theatresports® is a once-a-year sell-out event - so go overboard and invite the whole crew, castaway your worries, throw on a Hawaiian shirt and get your tickets... before they disappear! Then sit right back and you'll hear a tale...
